ARAMARK Parks and Destinations is pleased to partner with the National Park Foundation’s American Latino Heritage Fund, and leading outdoor gear and apparel retailer REI (Recreational Equipment, Inc.), in the @American_Latino Expedition.

Bloggers from around the country applied for the opportunity to participate in a national park adventure focusing on education, park stewardship, outdoor recreation and exploration, all the while highlighting historic American Latino contributions at each site. Come along and join in on the fun! Follow the @American_Latino Expedition on Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest using the hashtag #ALEx13.

The bloggers will embark upon adventures, tours and excursions at the following ARAMARK Parks and Destinations Properties:

rainbow_bridge.jpgLake Powell – The Latina Blogstars will enjoy a stay at Lake Powell Resort, visits to Rainbow Bridge National Monument, hiking at Horseshoe Bend, an excursion to nearby Antelope Canyon, meals at the Driftwood Lounge on the shores of Lake Powell, along with kayak and boat tours.

discover_poi_cliff_dwellings1.jpgMesa Verde – While basking in 4 state views at the Far View Lodge, the only hotel within the boundaries of Mesa Verde National Park, The Condes Campers will enjoy tours of Cliff Palace and Balcony House, a hike to Point Lookout trail, a visit to Chapin Mesa Archeological Museum, and meals at Spruce Tree Terrace and the Metate Room.

Olympic National Park – The Travelistas in Nature bloggers will enjoy the charming and historic lodges of Olympic National Park while also experiencing the outdoor adventures that are unique to the Olympic Peninsula. After walks to Marymare Falls and along Rialto Beach, bloggers will be able to soak in the warm waters at Sol Duc Hot Springs. Along with rafting, camping, and kayaking, the group will also learn about the Elwha River restoration project.
